The goal of music lessons is to bring out the musical and artistic personality of every student while giving him a solid basis of theoretical knowledge in music and making him able to play all modern techniques on the electric bass in every style.
As a universal language, Music comes from ourselves and every musician has always to seek different ways for expressing it; every note, scale or chord symbolizes different emotion and moods and learning to play is also learning about ourselves as we communicate with people. The instrument we play is an extension of our body, and the bridge between our inner self and what surrounds us, making it very important to use our "voice" well when we speak in its sound and in its words.
The music course is created around on these themes; all the exercises given allow you to develop the ability of playing at your best in every style of music.
Another important side of studying is the way it's done: by carrying out the exercises you realize your musical ideas, applying them to musical compositions which you have created yourself. For example: If you play a pentatonic scale in all its tonalities you must write a groove for it, a theme and a solo section in a song. This is done mainly with the help of records: listening and analyzing what and how great musicians play is the best lesson you can have in musical composition.
Ear training is also very important because it improves your melodic feeling by recognizing scales, chords or notes or playing a song without score.
Finally, playing and listening to different styles, especially what we don't like, helps for playing what we like better: for a jazz musician knowing how to create a funk groove is important, as well as it is very useful for a rocker to know about jazz harmony…
His music course is divided in CUSTOM ( technic, theory, armony, ear training, slap; study on jazz, rock, progressive, funk, latin and pop style) and RANDOM (choice of courses in music styles requested by the student for his own personal musical direction).
